RIP is a paranormal investigation team based out of Westville, Illinois.  We use scientific type methods throughout our investigations to try to prove, or disprove paranormal activity.  Our goal is to make our clients feel safe and secure in their home, whether there is activity or not.  Be sure to check out all the links above or below for more information!

NICKS NOTEBOOK

November 26, 2011

Welcome again, to my notebook......

I must apologize for taking a couple months off from writing my Notebook.  So welcome back!  The months of September and October were busy times for me, both in RIP and in my personal life.  But everything is on track, and all is going well.

I'd like to begin by congratulating our two newest investigators in training, Melissa Stocker and Amanda Smith for becoming part of our team.  Make me proud, ladies!

With that being said, I should mention that it seems that our business peaks in October, and the couple of months following Halloween tends to be our down-season, so to speak.  Of course, that is understandable.  What we do is not exactly the type of thing most people like to think of during the holiday season....and that's ok.  It gives us time to regroup and prepare for the new year as well.

I would like to thank Mary Wicoff from the Commerical News in Danville, Illinois, for providing us with the interview in the paper....and to Nancy Gulick for helping to set it up.  It is very much appreciated, ladies, thank you!

I should note as well, that our 1st ever Fantom Fest, which is slated for next year, has been pushed back from June to August.  There are very important reasons for this change, but I will not quite divulge on them just yet. More information about Fantom Fest will be available at the beginning of 2012, and invitations to other paranormal teams will begin to be sent out.  We hope to have a great turnout, especially for the "zombie walk", from which ALL proceeds will be going towards the Childrens Miracle Network.

Another thing I'd like to mention is to those teams like ourselves, who receive pictures from potential clients with claims of paranormal activity in them, just be careful and do your research about the origin of said photograph.  We received one about six months ago that was very questionable, and I even posted it on this site and on our RIP Facebook to get outside opinions on it (although I was convinced from the beginning that it was simple photoshop).  Well, a couple of weeks ago, I saw that same exact photograph show up on Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on television.  The photo has obviously made the rounds a few times to end up there.  I would like to note however, that the good folks at Fact or Faked quickly came to the same conclusion that I did.

That's about it for me at the moment, but I will be back within a week or two to further update my notebook.

See ya soon!
